Not quite a CV, not quite a bio…
Aged 21 and currently living in Hastings, Liam started his online marketing career early, during his A-Levels in fact. His first ever paying client was a local dog breeder who needed a website to sell some German Shepherd pups!
- After completing his A-Levels Liam went on to gain an Inbound & Online Marketing Certificate from HubSpot’s Inbound Marketing University as well as many other qualifications in website design best practices and social media strategy. He also joined, and is currently a member of the Content Marketing Institute.
- Liam spent two working years from the age of 18 at an international online tax & business publication, filling a variety of roles. Starting as an Internet researcher answerable to the editorial team, before moving over to the growing webdesign team, and finally ended up as part of the sales team, selling online advertising to offshore based financial services firms.
- After which Liam was taken on by Peter Botting Ltd, a corporate pitch and presentations coach, as a business development manager. Sales, marketing and online marketing – to include e-mail campaigns and copywriting.
- 6 Months later, Liam left Peter Botting Ltd to work full time in what was, until that point, a part time home based business – Atkinsbiz.com. A company Liam ran while working full time elsewhere. Atkinsbiz.com was a fully fledged and family run web design agency, clients included political parties, councils, and MP’s.
- After 6 months or so, Liam realised he was slowly becoming the business. People were starting to come to him for help, instead of approaching the company. His brand was slowly growing as the person to ask about anything “Internety” so, in the summer of 2011 Liam branched out, launched Liam Atkins Online Marketing and never looked back.
