Liam Atkins is owner of the online marketing consulting firm, Liam Atkins Online Marketing. He advises and teaches professionally with small, medium and large businesses mainly around the south east of England about how they can get online and start leveraging the free tools available to them to promote their business, their brands and their products to as large an audience as possible.

Liam also helps to run, in a consultative capacity, Sussex Social Media alongside Gemmay May (@sussexsm). A social media training and outsourced management company. Based in Sussex they help to alleviate some of the more time consuming tasks related to social media by either wholly or part managing their clients social media accounts and campaigns for them.

Liam also works with Hunt4Staff.com an online recruitment company in his capacity as a social and online marketing coordinator.

As a consultant Liam helps advise both new and repeat business customers, individuals, charities and local government organisations on everything online marketing related. From full campaign product launches, training, startups and even elections and online legal obligations.

The Atkins Biz Network

For almost 2 years Liam ran The Atkins Biz Network a website design company in Hastings. Mostly helping businesses get online with simple website design services. Liam felt the need to retrain and as such enrolled in the Inbound Marketing University to concentrate on the strategy and tactics behind online and social media marketing. Liam passed and subsequently received a certificate in inbound marketing from the awarding body Hubspot.

NO2AV

For 5 months Liam headed up the local winning NO2AV referendum campaign branch for the Hastings and Rye area. Campaigning as part of the national anti alternative vote campaign, Liam was wholly responsible for all aspects of both online and offline campaigning locally. From the ordering of literature, organising of leaflet drops across the, rallying councillors and liaising with both the press and supporting No2AV members of the local Labour Party.

Peter Botting Ltd

For a brief period Liam worked with and for the national campaign and speech coach Peter Botting as sales and business development manager.  Responsible for business development, strategy and research before both Peter and Liam headed off in seperate directions to asist in the NO2AV referendum campaign.

Local General Election Campaign E-Director

During the 2010 general election campaign, Liam headed up the online marketing campaign for a local political party and their parliamentary candidate. Advising and carrying out all aspects of online campaign management,  from email newsletters to campaign websites and social media launches. The candidate won with a 1,993 majority and +3.3% swing, she is now an active Member of Parliament.

BSI Media

Liam had two roles with BSI Media, an international finance and business news publishers. Initially working with them as an Internet researcher, before proving himself and then moving over to  the website design and online marketing team.

Freelance Website Designer

Having spent most of his youth tinkering with computers, Liam found himself dabbling in HTML and Photoshop. Before long Liam was earning some extra spending money during his A-level studies carrying out freelance website design projects for friends and family. - His first paid for website client, at the age of 16, was a German Shepherd breeder!
